2009 Schedule - Britcar GT Championship
March 28th Silverstone: Qualified: 5th (class) Finished: MDNF
Comment: The Race
This was Andre and Michaels first race of 2009 and both drivers were raring to go for the start of the season. Although reliability problems with the car had plagued them throughout 2008 they got off to a good start only to be thwarted by Michael being hit from behind in the early laps costing the team and extra pit stop for repairs. Andre took over the second stint of driving with his usual classic determination and set about chasing the pack despite the BMW GTR being down on pace. As 'luck' would have it though in the final laps of the race the brakes started to cause problems leaving no margin for gain and the team decided it would be prudent to retire the car to prevent any possible further damage.
The team were not down beat though as with more improvements on the way 2009 is looking much more promising, roll on Spa!
